Riders carrying additional weight with panniers put extra stress on a wheel so often the solution is to look a stronger wheelset which may have more spokes. The ‘norm’ is 28 or 32 spokes per wheel but we can build wheelsets with 36, 40 or 48 spokes per wheel.
