My name is Jim Rawling and I’ve been building wheels for JD Tandems in Gargrave since 2011. I’m a DT Swiss qualified wheel builder and I’ve been honing my skills at JD Tandems under the keen eye of John Hargreaves before branching out on my own. I still build for JD Tandems which is why I don’t offer tandem wheels direct from my own website as they are available from theirs (and built by either John or myself) at www.tandems.co.uk

As a cyclist I enjoy mountain biking, road riding, tandem riding and touring. I’m also 6’5” and weight about 100kg so I fully understand what stress that can put on a wheel; and the frustration that can be experienced by one that doesn’t perform.
